Close enough to done… I’m right up against the deadline so not much choice. I might be able to fix some things after getting advice at the critique, but to be honest I feel the piece is a bit overworked and I’m not totally pleased with it… so I’m pretty eager to move on to the next thing and try to make it a learning experience. There’s a lot I wish I could go back and re-do, especially the guy in the back, which was painted from my head more than from references and I think it shows. I think overall the piece is too “rainbowy” for my taste and I need to have more control over my palette. It’s been a long time since I did a watercolor painting this ambitious so I feel like I have to re-learn a lot of things.
(sorry another iphone photo haha I’m scanning it soon)
